Its a patch with hook on the back. Embroidery is clean, the design is recognizable, and it stands out. No loose threads and no bad stitching. Overall very good quality and a great price thats hard to beat. I hope that they get into rubberized versions as time progresses since rubber tends to hold up better under abuse and are much easier to clean. As my needs change, I'll be back for more patches either way.
